Naoero Medical Centre – Republic of Nauru
Join Our Critical Care Team
Naoero Medical Centre is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated ICU Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in our Intensive Care Unit. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment while contributing to the delivery of essential healthcare services in the Republic of Nauru.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and high-dependency patients.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
- Operate and manage critical care equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist physicians during emergency procedures and resuscitations.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality care standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid nursing registration/license.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent ICU or Critical Care nursing experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Experience in ventilator management and critical care monitoring is highly desirable.
