Full job description

The Medical Coder will be responsible for translating healthcare services, diagnoses, and procedures into universally accepted codes used for insurance claims, billing, and medical records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and healthcare regulations to ensure accurate and efficient coding for patient care and billing processes.

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Certification in Medical Coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent) preferred.

· Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare procedures.

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

· Strong communication skills to collaborate with medical professionals and support staff.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and coding software.

· Minimum 1 years of experience in medical coding or a related role in a healthcare setting.

· Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
