Full job description

Diatech is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting management with financial analysis and reporting.Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow reports, and other financial reports.
  • Analyse financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and supporting audit activities.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Develop and improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Mentor and guide junior accounting staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders on finance-related matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a Senior Accountant role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, ERP systems, or similar accounting platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the UAE and familiarity with UAE VAT regulations.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
