Role Description:

A Marine technician is responsible for performing assigned jobs, ensuring that they are carried out in accordance with the relevant service procedures, fixed right the first time, in a timely manner, and can work alone or as part of a group or team to carry out after-service jobs.

To perform maintenance, diagnosis, repair, and overhauling of marine engines, /A/C systems, /generators and related components as part of the after-sales service team, ensuring timely, high-quality technical support and customer satisfaction.

Key Tasks:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair inboard and outboard engines, /A/C systems, /marine generators.
• Diagnose and perform repairs using any manufacturer tooling or systems to ensure the correct repair method.
• Perform work according to target times to achieve productivity and quality standards target of the company (Fixed Right First Time).
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance both in the workshop and at client sites.
• Maintain tools and equipment neatly and in good operating condition.
• Coordinate with spare parts and logistics teams to request necessary components for repairs.
• Report loss, breakage, and faults to team leader who in turn will report to the workshop service adviser or after sales manager.
• Ensure clock timing (on/off jobs – time punching) is accurate,
• Keep in continual contact with the team leader to give job status and timing updates.
• Ensure ahead of time if job completion deadline cannot be achieved or any change in promise date and time, so the service advisor and customer can be updated.
• Use PPE/Safety equipment provided by the company and notify the team leader immediately of any unsafe practices observed in the workshop.
• Get feedback from the service adviser for any issues related to returning performed jobs (come backs), to ensure you/we make corrective measures.

Knowledge, Qualifications & Skills required

• Minimum of 2-3 years’ proven experience in generator repair
• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of marine engines <Köhler/Clima >is an advantage
• Physical fitness to work in outdoor marine environments and onboard vessels
• Technical role (marine field work)
• Disciplined time management
• Ability to work independently or in a team, including on-call or emergency service
• Able to read, write and communicate in English
• Competent to understand and follow specified policy and procedures
• Understanding of generator engine functions and electrical components
• Understanding of using diagnosis special tools at site
• Relevant technical training and/or certification
• Excellent in verbal, read and written English communication
• Driving license is an advantage

Pay: AED802.64 - AED12,742.35 per month
