Overview

Job Details:

Maintain, organize, and regularly review laboratory files, records, and documentation to ensure information remains complete, accurate, and up to date.

Provide routine administrative, clerical, and operational assistance to laboratory personnel to support smooth daily activities.

Prepare basic laboratory solutions, chemicals, and materials according to approved methods, handling procedures, and required safety precautions.

Coordinate the ordering and monitoring of laboratory consumables, chemicals, reagents, equipment, and other essential supplies while maintaining accurate inventory records.

Assist laboratory staff with routine sample preparation, testing procedures, and basic analytical activities as required.

Ensure chemicals, samples, and laboratory materials are correctly identified, labeled, stored, handled, and disposed of according to established safety and laboratory procedures.

Provide administrative and operational support to supervisors and laboratory staff and complete additional duties as assigned.

Maintain clean, orderly, and safe laboratory work areas by following established housekeeping, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.

Follow laboratory procedures, quality control practices, and applicable health and safety standards during all assigned activities.

Monitor the use of laboratory supplies, record material consumption, and report shortages or low stock levels in a timely manner to support uninterrupted laboratory operations.

Job Experience Requirements

Associate, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Laboratory Science, or another relevant scientific discipline.

Basic understanding of laboratory procedures, common equipment, material handling, and workplace safety practices.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to understand and follow written procedures, technical instructions, and safety requirements accurately.

Good organizational, documentation, and time management skills with the ability to maintain records and complete routine tasks efficiently.

Ability to work independently when required while also cooperating effectively with laboratory staff and other team members.

Responsible, dependable, and disciplined approach with a strong commitment to accuracy, safety, and proper laboratory practices.

Basic computer knowledge and the ability to use digital systems for maintaining laboratory records, inventory information, and general documentation will be considered an advantage.
