JOB PURPOSE

Serve as an experienced gold-jewellery specialist who can handle serious customer conversations, evaluate jewellery requirements,

explain pricing and purity clearly, and close high-trust jewellery transactions. The role requires strong real-world experience in gold

jewellery, customer negotiation and the commercial mechanics of jewellery buying, selling, exchange and buyback.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Advise customers confidently across gold jewellery categories, especially 22K plain jewellery, while understanding rings, chains, bangles,

bracelets, necklaces, earrings and other common jewellery products.

 Explain karat/purity, weight, gold value, making/fabrication components, stones or non-gold elements, VAT treatment where applicable

and the factors that affect final transaction value.

 Handle experienced and price-aware customers, including negotiation, comparison against market offers and high-value purchase

decisions.

 Support jewellery buyback and exchange conversations by checking item details, condition and declared characteristics and coordinating

machine-based purity verification where required.

 Recognise common jewellery construction, workmanship, wear, solder, stones and other factors that may affect weight, verification or

commercial value.

 Follow live gold rates and understand the relationship between spot/reference price, purity, weight, premiums, jewellery pricing and

buyback/exchange economics.

 Build long-term customer relationships and actively develop repeat, referral and high-value client business.

 Handle high-value jewellery securely and follow UID, weighing, inventory, POS, handover and stock-control procedures accurately.

 Support merchandising and assortment feedback by identifying customer demand, fast-moving items and recurring product requests.

 Comply fully with KYC/AML, sanctions, transaction controls and all store security procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

 Minimum 5 years of strong hands-on gold jewellery sales, trading, wholesale or specialist retail experience; UAE/Dubai experience

strongly preferred.

 Strong practical knowledge of gold jewellery, karat/purity, weight, pricing, making/fabrication, stones and jewellery transaction practices.

 Experience handling serious jewellery deals, demanding customers, negotiation, exchange or buyback situations.

 Background in Dubai Gold Souk, established jewellery retailers, wholesalers or similar high-volume gold environments is a strong

advantage.

 Excellent customer handling, numeracy, commercial judgement and integrity around high-value merchandise.

 English required; Arabic, Hindi, Urdu or other relevant customer languages are valuable.

 Comfortable working retail shifts, weekends and public holidays.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

 Sales and gross-contribution performance within approved pricing rules.

 Conversion rate, average transaction value and repeat/referral customer contribution.

 Accuracy of jewellery pricing, weighing, POS and transaction records.

 Customer satisfaction and quality of high-value customer handling.

 Buyback/exchange handling accuracy and compliance with verification process.

 Zero avoidable stock-control or security breach.
