Indian Chef Restaurant jobs

We are looking for a skilled and experienced North Indian Chef currently based in the UAE. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of authentic North Indian cuisine and be capable of preparing a variety of traditional dishes while maintaining high standards of taste, quality, hygiene, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare authentic North Indian dishes, including curries, dal, paneer dishes, tandoori items, biryani, and various vegetarian and non-vegetarian specialties.
• Prepare traditional Indian breads such as naan, roti, paratha, and kulcha.
• Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portion sizes, and food presentation.
• Plan daily menus and assist with menu development as required.
• Ensure proper food storage, stock rotation, and ingredient freshness.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen in accordance with UAE food safety standards.
• Monitor ingredient usage and minimize food wastage.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely food preparation.
• Follow recipes, portion-control guidelines, and food safety procedures.
• Ensure kitchen equipment and workstations are maintained properly.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a North Indian Chef in restaurants, hotels, catering companies, or similar establishments.
• Candidates must currently be based in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of authentic North Indian cuisine and traditional cooking techniques.
• Expertise in preparing vegetarian and non-vegetarian North Indian dishes.
• Knowledge of tandoor cooking and Indian breads is an advantage.
• Understanding of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and food storage practices.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage kitchen operations efficiently.
• Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
• Immediate availability or a short notice period is preferred.
