Job Summary:

We are looking for a friendly and efficient Barista with general knowledge of meal prep to join our team at Chalk Training Ground. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee, smoothies, and healthy food options. You’ll prepare and serve high-quality beverages and assist in light meal or snack preparation, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Barista Duties:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, and specialty beverages to customer specifications.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and make recommendations based on customer preferences.
• Operate espresso machines, blenders, and POS systems.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and customer areas.
• Manage inventory of coffee and beverage supplies.

Meal Prep Duties:

• Assist with preparing simple, healthy meals or snacks (e.g., overnight oats, protein boxes, wraps, salads).
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Portion and store prepared items according to guidelines.
• Restock prep stations and monitor freshness of ingredients.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a barista or in food service preferred.
• Basic knowledge of meal prep, nutrition, or healthy eating practices.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliability and punctuality are a must.
• Food Handler’s Permit or equivalent certification is a plus.
