The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the restaurant & wellness club, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting, regulatory compliance, strong internal controls, and strategic financial planning. The role supports business growth by providing financial insights that improve profitability, optimize costs, and enhance operational efficiency across spa, fitness, wellness, retail, food & beverage, and membership operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Accounting

· Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.

· Monitor cash flow and maintain adequate working capital

· Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations.

· Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.

· Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.

· Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and closing activities.

· Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

· Prepare annual operating and capital budgets.

· Develop rolling forecasts and financial projections.

· Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions.

· Support strategic business planning with financial modelling.

3. Cash & Treasury Management

· Monitor daily cash balances.

· Manage bank relationships.

· Prepare cash flow forecasts.

· Review payment schedules.

· Optimize liquidity and working capital.

4. Revenue & Membership Management

· Monitor membership revenue recognition.

· Review daily sales from:

o Memberships

o Personal training

o Spa services

o Wellness treatments

o Fitness classes

o Retail products

o Food & Beverage (if applicable)

· Ensure proper accounting for deferred membership revenue.

· Analyze membership retention and recurring revenue trends.

5. Restaurant Revenue Management

· Monitor daily restaurant sales and reconcile POS systems.

· Verify revenue from:

o Dine-in

o Takeaway

o Delivery platforms

o Catering

o Banquet events

o Gift cards and vouchers

o Loyalty programs

· Ensure completeness and accuracy of daily sales reporting.

· Monitor discounts, voids, refunds, and complimentary meals.

6. Cost Control

· Monitor food cost percentage.

· Monitor beverage cost percentage.

· Analyze recipe costing and menu profitability.

· Review standard recipes and portion controls.

· Conduct gross profit analysis by menu category.

· Support menu engineering initiatives.

· Monitor operating expenses.

· Analyze departmental profitability.

· Review payroll and staff productivity.

· Control procurement costs.

· Optimize inventory levels for retail and spa products.

7. Internal Controls

· Implement finance policies and procedures.

· Prevent fraud and revenue leakage.

· Monitor compliance with company policies.

8. Tax & Compliance

· Manage VAT compliance.

· Prepare VAT returns.

· Coordinate external audits.

· Liaise with tax authorities.

· Ensure compliance with labor laws and financial regulations.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

· Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA preferred.

· MBA is an advantage.

Experience

· 5–8 years of progressive finance experience.

· At least 3 years in a managerial role.

· Experience in wellness, hospitality, fitness, healthcare, hotels, or luxury services is preferred.

· Experience with membership-based businesses is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

· Financial reporting under IFRS.

· Budgeting and forecasting.

· Financial analysis.

· Cost accounting.

· Treasury management.

· VAT compliance.

· Payroll accounting.

· ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).

· Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.

· Business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau are an advantage.
