Job Summary
The Cashier is responsible for managing all financial transactions related to patient services, ensuring accurate billing, payment collection, receipt issuance, and daily cash reconciliation. The role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a healthcare environment, including hospitals, clinics, or medical centers.
Key ResponsibilitiesCash Handling & Billing
- Collect payments from patients through cash, credit/debit cards, bank transfers, or approved digital payment methods.
- Process payments accurately using the clinic or hospital management system.
- Issue receipts and maintain proper transaction records.
- Verify invoices and ensure charges are correctly applied before payment collection.
- Handle refunds, cancellations, and payment adjustments in accordance with company policies.
Patient Service
- Assist patients with billing inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Coordinate with the reception and insurance teams to resolve payment-related issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient financial information and medical records.
Financial Reconciliation
- Perform daily cash balancing and reconciliation of all collections.
- Prepare end-of-day reports and submit cash and supporting documentation to the Finance Department.
- Identify and report discrepancies or irregularities immediately.
Insurance & Healthcare Coordination
- Verify patient payment responsibilities based on insurance approvals and co-payment requirements.
- Coordinate with the insurance department regarding patient balances and payment discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare billing procedures and internal financial controls.
Compliance & Administration
- Follow company policies, financial procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain organized records of transactions and supporting documentation.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required financial records.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality and data protection standards.
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
