Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill DCDP / Commis to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking grilled dishes to the highest quality standards while ensuring consistency, food safety, and excellent presentation. The successful candidate should have strong knowledge of grilling techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of grilled meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables according to company recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all grilled items are cooked to the correct temperature, quality, and presentation.
  • Prepare ingredients and mise en place before service.
  • Monitor food quality and ensure consistency in taste and portion control.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station at all times.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in accordance with company policies.
  • Operate and maintain grilling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in monitoring stock levels and inform the Sous Chef or Chef de Partie of shortages.
  • Minimize food waste and support food cost control initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service during peak hours.
  • Assist with additional kitchen duties as assigned by senior chefs.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Grill DCDP or Commis, preferably in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of grilling techniques, meat temperatures, and food preparation.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Culinary certification or professional kitchen training is an advantage.
