About MyPT
MyPT, developed by Square One Fitness Services LLC, is a UAE-based fitness technology company headquartered in Dubai.
We are building the operating system for the personal training industry — connecting personal trainers with clients, managing studio operations, and delivering a premium fitness experience through technology.
Our current product ecosystem includes commercially active Consumer and Trainer mobile apps for iOS and Android, an Admin Panel, and supporting backend infrastructure, used daily across the UAE.
As we move into our next phase, we are building a scalable SaaS platform for the GCC and global markets.
We are a lean, fast-moving team that values ownership, initiative, technical excellence, and people who build products that work in the real world.
The Role
We are looking for a Full-Stack Lead Developer to take ownership of the technical execution of the MyPT platform across iOS, Android, and backend systems.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will work directly with the Product Manager and CEO, turning product requirements, Figma designs, and user flows into reliable, production-ready products.
As the team grows, you will also have the opportunity to guide and review the work of junior developers.
The ideal candidate is comfortable developing natively on both iOS and Android, has strong backend knowledge, understands product development, and actively uses AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

What You Will Own
  • End-to-end development of the MyPT Consumer and Trainer Apps on iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin).
  • Backend API development and maintenance using Laravel/PHP.
  • REST API development, database management, and server-side architecture using MySQL.
  • Development of new features from product specifications, Figma designs, and user flows.
  • Technical decision-making around architecture, code structure, and development tools.
  • Code quality, testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
  • Coordination with the Admin Panel and AWS infrastructure.
  • Mobile app releases through App Store Connect and Google Play Console.
  • Managing app signing, certificates, versioning, and deployment.
  • Identifying and resolving bugs, technical debt, performance issues, and reliability concerns.
    • Supporting and mentoring junior developers as the engineering team expands.
Must-Have Technical Skills
  • iOS / Swift: Proven ability to independently build, maintain, and release production iOS applications.
  • Android / Kotlin: Proven ability to independently build, maintain, and release production Android applications.
  • React Native: Ability to understand and work with React Native codebases.
  • Laravel / PHP: Strong backend development experience, REST APIs, database management, and server-side logic.
  • MySQL: Strong database fundamentals.
  • AWS: Working knowledge of services such as EC2, RDS, S3, and Lambda.
  • Git: Strong understanding of version control, branching, and collaborative development workflows.
  • App Deployment: Hands-on experience with App Store Connect and Google Play Console, including certificates, signing, and release management.
Approach & Mindset
We are looking for someone who:
  • Uses AI development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Co-pilot, Claude, or similar tools to improve development speed and productivity.
  • Understands, reviews, and can debug AI-generated code rather than relying on it blindly.
  • Can develop iOS and Android features in parallel while maintaining consistency across platforms.
  • Understands product requirements and pays attention to edge cases.
  • Takes ownership and proactively identifies what needs to be done.
  • Communicates clearly and raises blockers early.
  • Can explain technical matters to non-technical stakeholders in a simple and practical way.
Experience
  • 3–6 years of professional software development experience.
  • Demonstrable experience building and shipping live iOS and Android applications.
  • Experience working on production-grade applications in a product company, start-up, or consultancy environment.
  • Previous experience managing, mentoring, or coordinating with other developers is a strong advantage.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with SaaS architecture, including multi-tenancy, subscriptions, and role-based access control.
  • Payment gateway integrations such as Stripe, Tabby, or Tamara.
  • Experience with fitness, health, wellness, booking, or related APIs.
  • Understanding of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Fastlane, or Bitwise.
  • Previous experience in fitness or wellness technology.
  • Hackathon achievements or meaningful open-source contributions.
