Job Purpose

To deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons to secondary school students, promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and healthy lifestyles in line with the UK National Curriculum. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop their physical abilities, confidence, and understanding of the importance of lifelong physical activity.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging PE lessons in accordance with the UK National Curriculum.
• Teach a range of sports and physical activities, including football, basketball, volleyball, athletics, swimming, and fitness training.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet students' different abilities, needs, and learning styles.
• Assess students' physical performance, progress, and participation.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for internal and external sports competitions.

Student Development and Wellbeing

• Promote teamwork, leadership, discipline, fair play, and sportsmanship.
• Encourage students to adopt healthy and active lifestyles.
• Support students in developing physical confidence and resilience.
• Ensure an inclusive and positive learning environment for all students.

Health and Safety

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students during all PE lessons and sporting activities.
• Conduct regular checks of sports facilities and equipment.
• Implement appropriate risk assessments and safety procedures.
• Supervise students during sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.

Extracurricular Activities

• Organise and lead after-school sports clubs and activities.
• Coach school teams and prepare students for inter-school competitions.
• Participate in school sporting events and tournaments.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
• PGCE, QTS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in secondary schools.
• Experience teaching PE within the UK National Curriculum or British-curriculum schools.
• Strong knowledge of different sports, fitness programmes, and assessment methods.
• Experience coaching school sports teams is an advantage.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Pay: AED11,000.00 - AED12,400.00 per month
