A Fabricator interprets engineering drawings and uses tools and machinery to cut, shape, and assemble materials—typically metal—into finished products. These products can range from structural components to machinery parts.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models
  • Measure, cut, and shape materials using hand tools and machinery (e.g., saws, grinders, CNC machines)
  • Assemble components through welding, bolting, or riveting
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
  • Perform repairs and modifications on existing structures or equipment
  • Maintain tools, machinery, and a clean work environment
  • Follow safety protocols and industry regulations Required Skills
  • Proficiency in fabrication techniques (cutting, welding, machining)
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong attention to detail and precision
  • Knowledge of materials (metals, plastics, composites)
  • Familiarity with fabrication tools and equipment

  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
  • Qualifications
