Description

Kanad Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Endocrinologist to provide comprehensive care for patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering outpatient and inpatient endocrine services, developing a strong referral base, and supporting the growth of the hospital's endocrinology program through evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of endocrine and metabolic disorders, including diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and bone health conditions.
  • Conduct outpatient consultations and provide inpatient endocrine care as required.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide patient education and promote preventive care and healthy lifestyle practices.

Service Development & Quality

  • Support the growth and development of endocrinology services.
  • Maintain the highest standards of patient safety, quality, and evidence-based practice.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities.
  • Contribute to the education and mentoring of junior medical staff when appropriate.

Hospital Responsibilities

  • Participate in the departmental consultant or specialist on-call rota.
  • Provide timely assessment and management of endocrine-related emergencies.
  • Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied health teams to deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualification

  • Education: Accredited Medical Degree (MD, MBBS, or equivalent).
  • Certification: Board Certification, Fellowship, or equivalent specialist qualification in Endocrinology.
  • Clinical Experience: Demonstrated experience in the diagnosis and management of endocrine disorders, including diabetes mellitus, thyroid diseases, obesity, osteoporosis, pituitary, adrenal, and metabolic disorders.

Experience

Experience: 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience as a Specialist or Consultant in Endocrinology.
