# Job Description: ELV Site Supervisor (IT & Audio-Visual Systems)

## Role Overview

The **ELV Site Supervisor (IT & AV Systems)** is responsible for leading on-site execution, installation, cabling, testing, and commissioning activities for Extra Low Voltage (ELV), Information Technology (ICT), and Audio-Visual (AV) infrastructure. The supervisor will manage site technicians, coordinate daily workflow with MEP contractors, maintain HSE/QA/QC compliance, and ensure project delivery matches approved engineering drawings and local authority guidelines.

* **Compensation:** AED 5,000 per month (All-inclusive fixed package)

* **Reporting To:** ELV Project Engineer / Project Manager

## Key Responsibilities

### 1. Site Supervision & Team Management

* Oversee daily site activities, allocating tasks to in-house ELV technicians and specialist sub-contractors.

* Enforce site discipline, productivity benchmarks, toolbox talks, and mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance.

* Coordinate site access, permits to work (PTW), and handover clearances with the main contractor, MEP team, and client representatives.

### 2. IT & Structured Cabling Works

* Supervise the containment installation (cable trays, conduits, trunking, server racks) and structured cabling (Cat6/Cat6A, Single-Mode and Multi-Mode Fiber Optics).

* Oversee rack dressing, patch panel termination, fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and Fluke DTX/DSX copper certification testing.

* Assist with active IT hardware staging, server room/MDF/IDF rack setups, patch cord routing, and basic switch/router/AP mounting.

### 3. Audio-Visual (AV) & Collaboration Systems

* Supervise physical installation and cable termination for meeting rooms, boardrooms, public address (PA/BGM), and digital signage systems.

* Manage mounting and line-of-sight setup for display screens, interactive panels, video walls, projectors, ceiling speakers, and PTZ conference cameras.

* Oversee connectivity testing for HDMI, USB-C transmitters, Dante/analog audio lines, touch controllers, and basic AV matrix routing.

### 4. Technical Coordination & Reporting

* Review and interpret approved Shop Drawings, Schematic Diagrams, Cable Pulling Schedules, and As-Built drawings.

* Identify on-site discrepancies or MEP clashes early; raise RFIs (Request for Information) to the Project Engineer.

* Prepare daily site progress logs, material delivery inspection notes (MIR), snag lists, and testing records.

* Coordinate formal Work Inspection Requests (WIR) with consultants for milestone sign-offs.

## Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

### Experience

* **Supervisory Experience:** Minimum **3 to 4 years** of direct site supervisory experience in the UAE managing ELV, IT infrastructure, and AV installations.

* **Hands-on Background:** Demonstrated prior experience as a senior technician or team lead in cable termination, rack builds, Fluke testing, and AV equipment mounting.

### Licenses & Certifications

* **UAE Driving License:** Valid UAE Manual/Automatic Light Vehicle Driving License (**Mandatory**).

* **Certifications (Advantageous):** OEM cabling certifications (e.g., CommScope, Schneider, Legrand, Belden), basic Crestron/Extron hardware awareness, or SIRA/DPS cardholder status.

### Education & Technical Skills

* Diploma or 3-Year Technical Degree / ITI in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or Computer Engineering.

* Strong ability to read and interpret ELV/AV schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams (SLD), and reflected ceiling plans (RCP).

* Proficient in using Fluke DSX testers, fiber power meters, OTDRs, tone generators, and multimeter diagnostics.

### Soft Skills & Working Conditions

* Professional proficiency in spoken and written English; Hindi/Urdu proficiency is necessary for managing site manpower.

* Willingness to travel between multiple client project sites as demands

Pay: AED4,750.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
