Technically proficient Electronics Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in marine, dredging, or heavy-industrial environments, responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of electronic, instrumentation, navigation, and communication systems to ensure reliable fleet performance, regulatory compliance, and minimal operational downtime.


    RESPONSABILITIES: The candidate will support the electronics workshop and fleet operations within the Technical Fleet Management E&A Division by performing hands-on technical activities related to electronic systems, marine instrumentation, navigation, communication equipment, and control systems onboard vessels and in workshops. The role includes installation, testing, calibration, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, and repair of electronic and instrumentation systems to ensure operational reliability and continuous fleet availability. The engineer will collaborate closely with electrical and automation teams to resolve complex technical issues, support system integration, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the fleet. The position also ensures compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including FANR and TDRA standards, while maintaining accurate technical documentation, maintenance records, and supporting spare parts and procurement processes. The role requires active participation in improving system reliability, reducing downtime, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. Responsibilities for Internal Candidates Perform installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic and instrumentation systems, including communication systems, sensors, transducers, control equipment, and marine electronic devices. Conduct calibration, functional testing, and performance verification of instrumentation, navigation, and communication systems to ensure operational accuracy and compliance. Diagnose and resolve faults in electronic circuits, components, control systems, and PCB assemblies to ensure uninterrupted dredging and support craft operations. Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new electronic and instrumentation systems onboard vessels and in workshops. Prepare and maintain accurate technical reports, maintenance logs, calibration records, and system performance documentation for management review. Support preventive maintenance planning and execution to ensure optimal availability and reliability of equipment. Collaborate with Electrical, Automation, and Technical teams to resolve complex technical issues and support system upgrades and enhancements. Ensure compliance with HSE and QA/QC standards and actively participate in hazard identification and risk assessments. Support spare parts identification, technical specification preparation, and procurement processes for electronic and instrumentation components. Monitor spare parts inventory and report requirements to ensure availability of critical components. Liaise with vendors, manufacturers, and service providers for technical support, repairs, and system upgrades when required. Coordinate with regulatory bodies such as FANR and TDRA for certifications, inspections, and compliance related to marine communication systems and instrumentation when applicable. Provide technical guidance to Electronics Technicians and support knowledge sharing and skills development within the team. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, maintenance efficiency, and operational performance.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned in line with operational requirements.

    QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications for Internal Candidates Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent qualification. 5–7 years of relevant experience in marine, dredging, or heavy-industrial environments (preferred). Strong knowledge of electronics systems, instrumentation, control circuits, PCB-level troubleshooting, and marine navigation/communication systems. Experience with PLC systems and marine electronic equipment is an advantage. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as FANR and TDRA is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD and Oracle. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail and safety compliance.
  • Ability to work in multicultural environments, manage tasks independently, and communicate effectively in English (Arabic is an advantage).
