Research Assistant

We are a fast-growing technology company that designs and develops IoT hardware and software products. Our multidisciplinary team leverages cutting-edge design tools and advanced engineering technologies to bring new ideas to life. We are seeking a detail-oriented Research Assistant to support market research, business analysis, and the preparation of materials for investor, client, and stakeholder meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market, competitor, industry, and regulatory research using reliable and verifiable sources.
  • Analyze data and trends to identify business opportunities, risks, and potential partners and clients.
  • Prepare clear summaries, research reports, and actionable recommendations for management.
  • Provide verified data, figures, and key findings for investor meetings, client pitches, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Work closely with the content and design team, delivering data in a structured, chart-ready format and checking the accuracy of facts and figures in final presentations.
  • Maintain an up-to-date library of key facts, statistics, and sources for use in presentations and marketing materials.
  • Build and maintain databases, trackers, comparison tables, and source records.
  • Monitor industry news, regulatory changes, events, and funding opportunities relevant to the business.
  • Document research methods, sources, and processes so findings can be reviewed and reused.
  • Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and timely completion of all assignments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
  • 1-3 years of experience in research, business analysis, consulting, or a similar role.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to verify and cross-check sources.
  • Ability to clearly separate confirmed facts from estimates and assumptions.
  • Ability to summarize complex or technical information into clear and concise findings.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, charts) and good proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience with market research databases, data analysis tools (Power BI, Python, or similar), or AI research tools (a plus).
  • Interest in or knowledge of the technology and IoT sectors (a plus).
  • Must be able to join immediately and already based in Dubai.
