Job Summary

The IT Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure across retail stores, warehouses, and corporate offices. The role ensures the smooth operation of hardware, software, networks, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and business applications while providing timely technical support to end users. The IT Coordinator acts as the primary liaison between business users, vendors, and the IT department to ensure uninterrupted business operations.

Key Responsibilities

IT Support & Service Delivery

• Provide first level technical support to store, warehouse, and office users.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printer, and communication issues.
• Manage the routing of IT service tickets and ensure timely resolution in line with agreed SLAs.
• Coordinate escalations with external vendors and service providers.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.

Retail Systems Support

• Support Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, payment terminals, barcode scanners, receipt printers, and customer-facing devices.
• Monitor store connectivity and ensure uninterrupted operation of retail systems.
• Assist in the deployment, testing, and maintenance of retail applications.
• Coordinate store openings, closures, relocations, and IT infrastructure setup.

Infrastructure & Network Management

• Monitor and maintain servers, firewalls, internet connectivity, and related hardware.
• Assist with server administration, user account management, and access control.
• Coordinate system upgrades, software installations, patches, and antivirus updates.
• Support backup processes and disaster recovery procedures.

Vendor & Project Coordination

• Liaise with IT vendors, system integrators, and telecommunications providers.
• Coordinate hardware procurement, maintenance contracts, and warranty claims.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards.
• Support audits and documentation related to information security and business continuity.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Experience

• 3 to 5 years of IT support or IT coordination experience.
• Experience in retail environments supporting POS systems and multiple store locations is preferred.
• Experience working with Microsoft 365, windows environments, and networking technologies.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, and endpoint management.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networking, VPNs, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.

Working Conditions

• On-site role at Head Office
• Occasional travel to retail stores and warehouse locations.
• Availability to support after-hours maintenance and emergency incidents when required.
