Full job description

We are looking for an experienced Designer & Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of curtains , roller blinds , car park shade structures, sail shade systems etc , with the ability to prepare accurate estimates, material take-offs, and production planning.

Key Responsibilities

Design and prepare proposals for large scale curtain project , car park shade and sail shade projects.

Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and material take-offs.

Calculate quantities of steel, fabric, fittings, hardware, and accessories required for each project.

Develop project-specific costing based on drawings and client requirements.

Prepare fabrication and production plans for shade structures.

Estimate fabric consumption, accessories, tracks, motors, brackets, and other components for large curtain projects.

Prepare cutting lists and optimize material utilization to minimize wastage.

Coordinate with the sales, procurement, production, and installation teams.

Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents.

Support value engineering by proposing cost-effective design alternatives without compromising quality.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, Architectural, or related Engineering.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in:

Car park shade structures

Sail shade structures

Tensile fabric structures

Large commercial curtain projects

Strong understanding of structural layouts and fabrication requirements.

Ability to accurately quantify steel, fabric, fittings, anchors, cables, membranes, accessories, and other project materials.

Experience preparing detailed project estimates and tender submissions.

Knowledge of production planning and fabrication sequencing.

Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.

Knowledge of STAAD.Pro or structural analysis software will be advantageous.

Good understanding of fabric types ,steel fabrication, welding, and installation methods.

Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

Experience in tensile membrane and shade structure detailing.

Knowledge of fabric cutting optimization.

Understanding of UAE construction practices and standards.

Strong communication and coordination skills.
