Full job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in F&B cost control, inventory management, and financial analysis, preferably within restaurants, cafés, hotels, or the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control food and beverage costs to ensure they remain within budget.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Monitor stock movements, purchases, transfers, and consumption.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate recipe and menu costing.
  • Analyze food and beverage cost variances and identify discrepancies.
  • Monitor wastage, spoilage, and portion control.
  • Reconcile physical stock with system records and investigate variances.
  • Review purchasing prices and supplier invoices to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen, purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams regarding stock and cost control.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cost control reports for management.

  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage costing, inventory management, recipe costing, and stock reconciliation.
  • Good understanding of wastage control and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and POS/ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of hospitality operations and F&B processes is essential.
