Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced UAE Lawyer to provide legal advice, draft and review legal documents, represent the company/clients before UAE courts and authorities, and ensure full compliance with UAE federal and local laws. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of UAE legislation, litigation procedures, commercial law, and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Legal Advisory & Compliance

  • Provide legal opinions and advice on UAE Federal Law, Civil Law, Commercial Law, Labor Law, and other relevant regulations.
  • Ensure company/clients’ operations comply with UAE laws, free-zone regulations, and industry-specific requirements.
  • Monitor legal developments and advise on risks, regulatory changes, and compliance obligations.

2. Contracts & Documentation

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including commercial agreements, MOUs, NDAs, shareholder agreements, employment contracts, leases, and service agreements.
  • Prepare legal notices, pleadings, memoranda, and other legal documents.

3. Litigation & Dispute Resolution

  • Represent clients before UAE courts (if holding a valid advocacy license) or liaise with external advocates.
  • Prepare case files, attend expert meetings, submit pleadings, and follow up on court procedures in Civil, Commercial, Criminal, and Labour courts.
  • Handle arbitration matters before DIAC, ADCCAC, DIFC-LCIA, and other dispute resolution centers.

4. Corporate Matters

  • Advise on company formation, restructuring, corporate governance, and compliance with UAE Commercial Companies Law.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, due diligence, and business licensing processes.

5. Government & Regulatory Interaction

  • Follow up with government entities such as MOJ, MOHRE, DED, Notary Public, RERA, Land Department, and free zones (DIFC, ADGM, JAFZA, DMCC).
  • Prepare and submit applications, licenses, and approvals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university; Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • UAE-local licensing/advocacy rights preferred (or ability to act as Legal Consultant if expatriate).
  • Minimum 3–7 years of legal experience in the UAE.
  • Strong understanding of UAE Civil Procedure Law, Commercial Transactions Law, Labour Law, and other relevant regulations.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and legal research skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (Arabic strongly preferred for litigation roles).
