Job Description – Clinic Receptionist

Job Summary

The Clinic Receptionist is responsible for providing excellent customer service by welcoming patients, managing appointments, handling inquiries, maintaining accurate patient records, and supporting the daily administrative operations of the clinic while ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist patients, visitors, and healthcare providers in a professional manner.
  • Register patients and verify personal, insurance, and billing information.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Answer telephone calls, emails, and patient inquiries promptly.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other departments to ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Collect payments and issue official receipts in accordance with clinic procedures.
  • Prepare daily cash and card collection reports and submit them as required.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, documents, and referrals.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all applicable privacy regulations.
  • Keep the reception and waiting area clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Report patient concerns, complaints, or operational issues to the Clinic Supervisor.
  • Perform other administrative duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a receptionist, customer service representative, or clinic receptionist is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.

Reporting Line

Reports to: Clinic Supervisor

Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
