Job Summary

The Civil Inspector is responsible for inspecting and monitoring civil construction works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, and applicable codes. The role supports the Resident Engineer in ensuring that works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect civil works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Monitor construction activities and report any non-conforming work to the Resident Engineer.
  • Witness site inspections, material testing, and quality control activities.
  • Ensure that construction works comply with relevant standards, codes, and health and safety requirements.
  • Review contractor inspection requests (IRs) and verify completed works before approval.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, daily reports, and site documentation.
  • Coordinate with contractors and project stakeholders to resolve technical and quality issues.
  • Monitor construction progress and highlight delays or potential risks.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of site supervision experience, preferably with an engineering consultancy.
  • Experience on large-scale residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use developments.
  • Good knowledge of UAE construction standards, specifications, and authority requirements.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • UAE driving license.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED11,000.00 per month
