JOB SUMMARY
The Event Sales Executive will be responsible for generating new business, developing key client relationships, and achieving revenue targets for Topaz Event Organizers L.L.C.
The ideal candidate must have minimum 4 years of proven experience in the UAE events industry, with previous hands-on experience working in the Abu Dhabi event market or with an Abu Dhabi-based event company.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of the Abu Dhabi corporate, government, private, exhibition, activation, conference, and event market, along with an established network of potential clients, agencies, suppliers, and industry contacts.
The role requires a highly proactive, target-driven, commercially minded individual who can independently generate leads, conduct client meetings, prepare proposals, negotiate commercial terms, close deals, and coordinate with internal teams until successful event delivery.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESA. Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Abu Dhabi and UAE events market.
- Generate new leads through direct calling, networking, referrals, LinkedIn, industry contacts, client visits, tenders, events, exhibitions, and other business-development activities.
- Develop new corporate, government, semi-government, private-sector, agency, and individual client accounts.
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospective clients and continuously work toward converting leads into confirmed business.
- Explore opportunities for conferences, exhibitions, corporate events, product launches, activations, award ceremonies, gala dinners, government events, festivals, entertainment events, and other event requirements.
- Develop and maintain a strong network within the Abu Dhabi events and corporate market.
- Identify upcoming projects, tenders, RFPs, events, and procurement opportunities relevant to the company.
B. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Act as the primary sales contact for assigned clients from initial inquiry until confirmation.
- Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, site visits, inspections, and business-development visits.
- Understand client requirements, budgets, timelines, expectations, and event objectives.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and ensure timely follow-up on all inquiries and opportunities.
- Develop existing accounts to generate repeat business and long-term relationships.
- Handle client concerns professionally and coordinate internally for timely resolution.
C. Sales & Revenue Generation
- Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Convert qualified leads into confirmed business and maximize revenue opportunities.
- Prepare and submit professional quotations, proposals, presentations, and commercial offers.
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within company-approved limits while protecting company profitability.
- Follow up on quotations and proposals until successful closure or formal loss of opportunity.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and continuously update management regarding expected business.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across the company's event, AV, production, branding, and technical services.
D. Abu Dhabi Market Development
- Utilize existing knowledge and contacts within the Abu Dhabi event market to generate immediate business opportunities.
- Develop relationships with Abu Dhabi-based government entities, corporates, event agencies, PCOs, PR agencies, marketing agencies, hotels, venues, organizers, and procurement departments.
- Monitor upcoming Abu Dhabi events, exhibitions, conferences, government programs, corporate activities, and seasonal opportunities.
- Research competitor activities, market pricing, emerging trends, and client requirements.
- Provide management with regular updates regarding market opportunities and competitor activity.
E. Government & Corporate Business
- Identify and pursue government, semi-government, and corporate event opportunities.
- Monitor relevant tenders, RFPs, RFQs, and procurement opportunities.
- Coordinate with the internal team for preparation and submission of tenders and proposals.
- Ensure all commercial submissions are accurate, competitive, professional, and submitted within deadlines.
- Build long-term relationships with procurement, administration, marketing, communications, HR, and event-related departments.
F. Proposal & Quotation Management
- Prepare customized proposals based on client requirements.
- Coordinate with the AV, Production, Design, and Operations teams to obtain technical information and costing.
- Ensure quotations accurately reflect scope, equipment, manpower, logistics, production requirements, and applicable costs.
- Review proposals before submission to ensure accuracy and profitability.
- Follow up consistently on submitted quotations and proposals.
G. Internal Coordination
- Coordinate closely with the Sales, AV, Production, Design, Operations, Finance, and Management teams.
- Provide complete and accurate event briefs to the relevant departments after confirmation.
- Ensure all client requirements and agreed commercial terms are properly communicated internally.
- Attend project meetings and site visits when required.
- Support the operations team by remaining available for client communication throughout the event lifecycle.
- Ensure proper handover of confirmed projects from Sales to Operations.
H. CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and updated records of all leads, opportunities, quotations, client interactions, and confirmed projects in the company's CRM.
- Submit daily/weekly sales activity reports as required.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales pipeline reports.
- Track lead status, quotation value, expected closing date, probability, and final outcome.
- Maintain accurate client and contact databases.
- Provide management with accurate sales forecasts.
3. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
Performance will be evaluated based on:
- Monthly and annual sales revenue achieved.
- New clients acquired.
- Number and value of qualified leads generated.
- Lead-to-quotation conversion rate.
- Quotation-to-confirmation conversion rate.

4. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Mandatory:
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in event sales, event management, business development, or related fields.
- Previous experience working with an event management, event production, AV, exhibition, activation, hospitality, or similar company.
- Previous experience in the Abu Dhabi event market is mandatory.
- Strong existing knowledge of Abu Dhabi's corporate and events ecosystem.
- Proven record of generating business and achieving sales targets.
- Strong client and industry network within Abu Dhabi/UAE is highly preferred.
- Experience handling corporate and/or government clients is preferred.
- Experience preparing quotations, proposals, presentations, and commercial offers.
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.

- Valid UAE driving license is highly preferred.
- Own vehicle is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi locations, venues, event ecosystem, and business districts is preferred.
