Full job description

As an Event & Catering Assistant, you will help bring our clients' events to life by supporting setup, service, and small-scale food preparation to keep every event running smoothly. Based within our F&B team in Dubai, you'll work at events throughout Dubai and Abu Dhabi under the guidance of the Event & Catering Lead, gaining hands-on experience across the full event lifecycle. Your positive attitude, attention to detail, and genuine care for guest happiness will make you a valuable part of our event operations team.
Responsibilities
  • Support event and catering operations including setup, food and beverage preparation, and guest service.
  • Help with basic food preparation, such as blending smoothies and juices and assembling grab-and-go menu items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout all event stages.
  • Work alongside the Event & Catering Lead and other team members in an uplifting, collaborative environment.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and teammates to help deliver a great event experience.
  • Flag on-site issues promptly to the Event & Catering Lead so they can be resolved quickly.
  • Help monitor inventory and event supplies.
Must-have requirements
  • Some experience in event support, catering, or hospitality within food and beverage settings (or a strong willingness to learn).
  • Comfortable with hands-on food prep, such as blending smoothies and juices and assembling light menu items.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a genuine desire to make people happy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive and organized, able to stay calm during busy events.
  • Flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and evenings as required for events.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Nice-to-have requirements
  • Basic barista or mixology skills.
  • Familiarity with food safety certifications (e.g., BFHT).
  • Knowledge of local F&B trends or wellness-oriented menu items.
