Job Summary
Wise House Pest Control is seeking an experienced AI Specialist / Automation Engineer to design, build, integrate, and maintain AI-powered systems that improve our operations, customer experience, and internal workflows. This role combines software development, AI implementation, systems integration, CRM automation, and infrastructure management to help drive innovation across the business.

We’re looking for someone who understands that successful AI implementation isn’t just about writing prompts or generating code. It’s about building reliable business systems that continue operating when services fail, APIs change, or AI providers experience outages.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience integrating business platforms such as GoHighLevel, GorillaDesk, Make.com, Zapier, APIs, webhooks, and Large Language Models (LLMs) into dependable production workflows. They can troubleshoot complex integrations, identify root causes, and quickly restore operations when issues arise.

What You’ll Do

AI Development

Design and implement AI-powered workflows using OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, and other LLMs.
Build custom AI assistants for customer service, sales, operations, and internal knowledge management.
Develop prompt engineering strategies while ensuring reliability and maintainability.
Evaluate emerging AI technologies and determine practical business applications.

Systems Integration & Automation

Design, build, and maintain integrations between GoHighLevel, GorillaDesk, Make.com, Zapier, Google Workspace, Slack, Twilio, Stripe, and other SaaS platforms.
Develop API and webhook integrations between business systems.
Build automation workflows that are scalable, maintainable, and fault-tolerant.
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for critical automations.
Create fallback procedures and contingency plans for production systems.

Software Development

Design and develop internal business applications and automation tools.
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar languages.
Develop REST APIs and backend services that integrate seamlessly with existing business systems.

Operational Reliability

Monitor production AI systems and automation workflows.
Diagnose and resolve integration failures quickly.
Identify bottlenecks and improve system performance.
Document architectures, workflows, and recovery procedures.
Continuously improve system reliability and operational resilience.

QualificationsRequired

2+ years of professional experience implementing AI solutions and business automation systems.
Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar languages.
Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
Hands-on experience with GoHighLevel, GorillaDesk, Make.com, Zapier, APIs, webhooks, and CRM integrations.
Experience building production-grade automation workflows across multiple business platforms.
Experience working with Large Language Models (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or similar).
Knowledge of prompt engineering, AI workflow design, and AI system architecture.
Experience using Git or other version control systems.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to independently manage technical projects from planning through deployment.

Critical Requirement

This is not a prompt engineering or “vibe coding” position.

Applicants must demonstrate the ability to:

Troubleshoot broken integrations.
Debug API failures.
Diagnose webhook issues.
Resolve automation failures.
Identify root causes when AI workflows stop functioning.
Implement fallback procedures and recovery strategies during service outages.
Design systems that continue operating reliably even when third-party AI services experience downtime or unexpected changes.

Candidates should be comfortable reading API documentation, debugging production systems, and solving technical issues independently rather than relying solely on AI-generated code.
