Clinical Consultant

Job Description

The Clinical Consultant is responsible for leading clinical discussions during the sales phase, leveraging in-depth expertise to address complex clinical needs and optimize clinical processes through detailed workflow assessments. The role operates under limited supervision and applies independent judgment to drive project success, customer satisfaction, and compliance. The role provides training on the full functionality and best practices of Philips Enterprise Informatics solutions and participates in solution implementation to ensure alignment with clinical and operational requirements. The role supports sales efforts with tailored product demonstrations, resolves moderately complex troubleshooting tasks, manages customer escalations, and collects customer feedback to refine products and services.

Your Role:

• Leads clinical discussions with healthcare customers during the sales and opportunity phase, offering in-depth expertise to address complex clinical needs.
• Conducts detailed workflow assessments at healthcare facilities to identify opportunities for optimizing clinical processes through the integration of the product portfolio, ensuring alignment with customer goals.
• Supports Philips Enterprise Informatics products, with a main focus on radiology and cardiology suites.
• Works under limited supervision and broad guidelines, regularly applying independent judgment on matters of significance to drive project success, customer satisfaction, and compliance.
• Provides advanced training to healthcare professionals on full functionality and best practices, helping to maximize clinical impact.
• Participates in solution implementation, working closely with customers to ensure deployments meet their specific clinical and operational requirements.
• Independently manages project-related activities, including planning, execution, follow-up, and documentation.
• Supports sales teams by delivering comprehensive product demonstrations tailored to each customer’s unique needs, helping to close deals by clearly demonstrating clinical benefits.
• Resolves complex troubleshooting and support tasks, ensuring timely and effective solutions throughout implementation and use.
• Handles sensitive or high-pressure customer situations professionally, while driving appropriate resolution and maintaining trusted customer relationships.
• Collects and analyzes customer feedback throughout the sales and implementation phases, using this information to refine products and services and improve customer outcomes.
• Continuously and autonomously upskills product knowledge, keeping informed about developments in clinical practice and relevant technologies.
Cultivates effective relationships with internal and external partners, providing influence over projects and peer groups by demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the area of specialization.

You are the right fit if:

• Master’s degree in Medicine, Engineering , Biomedical Engineering, Medical Science, or an equivalent field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in areas such as Healthcare Consulting, Clinical Education and Training, Clinical Practice, or equivalent.
• Experience with enterprise imaging, radiology, cardiology, or clinical informatics solutions is preferred.
• Strong business acumen and strategic-planning capabilities.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, including the ability to handle challenging customer situations and escalations effectively.
• Highly autonomous, with demonstrated ability to manage own product upskilling and project-related activities.
• Fluent in English; fluency in Arabic is a plus.
Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time across the Middle East and Africa.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
