Job Summary:

The Agriculture Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and implementing all aspects of farming operations at our company Organic Farming. This role involves ensuring sustainable and efficient farming practices, maintaining equipment, and optimizing crop production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Farm Operations Management:
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily farming activities.
• Implement organic farming techniques to enhance soil health and crop yield.
• Monitor crop growth and health, and manage pest and disease control.
• Irrigation and Water Management:
• Design and manage efficient irrigation systems.
• Monitor water usage and ensure sustainable water management practices.
• Soil and Crop Management:
• Conduct soil tests and analyze results to determine appropriate soil treatments.
• Develop and implement crop rotation plans to maintain soil fertility.
• Select and plant appropriate crop varieties for each season.
• Equipment Maintenance:
• Maintain and repair farming equipment and machinery.
• Ensure all equipment is used safely and efficiently.
• Sustainability Practices:
• Implement and promote sustainable farming practices.
• Ensure compliance with organic farming standards and regulations.
• Data Collection and Analysis:
• Collect and analyze data on crop performance, soil health, and other relevant metrics.
• Use data to make informed decisions and improve farming practices.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with the farm manager and other team members to achieve farm goals.
• Provide training and guidance to farm workers on best practices.
• Research and Development:
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in organic farming and agriculture engineering.
• Experiment with new techniques and technologies to improve farm productivity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Engineering or related field.
• Experience in organic farming practices is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of soil science, crop management, and irrigation systems.
• Proficiency in using farming equipment and machinery.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• UAE driving license is preferred.
• Proficiency in Arabic & English is required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor and operate machinery.
