PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRE-SEASON STRATEGY & OTB PLANNING
- Translate the seasonal brand and commercial strategy into clear channel level range and allocation assortment plans for the market, and store cluster.
- Partner closely with Planning and Buying to align pre-season assumptions on demand, launch depth, phasing, stock turns and sell through targets.
- Support the development of seasonal OTB and intake plans by providing market specific allocation and availability insights across channels.
- Define success metrics for launches, seasonal conversion, and key campaign moments, ensuring clarity ahead of season start.
IN-SEASON TRADING:
- Monitor daily and weekly sales performance to identify opportunities for quick action on fast-selling products and mitigate risks on slow-moving inventory.
- Develop and execute in-season trading strategies to capture demand at optimal margins and outpace competitors in key categories.
- Lead markdown, promotion, and replenishment decisions to maximize sell-through and profitability.
- Drive inventory clearance strategies to maintain healthy stock levels across retail & e-commerce channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align inventory movement with consumer demand and market trends.
- Ensure alignment of stock allocations and replenishments with channel-specific performance goals.
- Implement pricing strategies that drive profitability while maintaining competitiveness.
- Build scalable foundations for future growth by implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
- Contribute to the development of key planning reports and be responsible for its implementation and adoption in channels.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION:
- Work closely with Planning, Buying, Finance, Demand planning, SCM & operations teams to ensure alignment of trading actions with broader business strategies.

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Merchandising Experience: Minimum 3 years
