Main purpose of Job:

· Supports the maintenance and operation of the school’s technology systems.

· Assisting with hardware and software troubleshooting, supporting staff and students with tech-related issues.

· Ensuring that all IT equipment functions properly to enhance learning and administrative tasks.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the IT Assistant may include but are not limited to the following:

A. Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, projectors, and other IT equipment.

B. Provide technical support to teachers, staff, and students.

C. Assist in the installation and updating of software and operating systems.

D. Maintain the school’s network connectivity and internet access.

E. Support the use of educational technology in classrooms.

F. Monitor and ensure data security and backup systems are in place.

G. Maintain inventory of IT assets and recommend upgrades or replacements.

H. Coordinate with external vendors for repairs and technical services.

I. Document IT issues and resolutions for future reference

J. Assist in implementing IT policies and ensuring proper usage of school technology resources.

K. Performs other related tasks as directed by the school management/ immediate head.

L. Responsible for maintaining and supporting third party bus tracking and gate access systems, including device functionality, user support, vendor coordination and data.

M. Design, develop and support web applications based on school-specific needs.
